//. digital ./. perform. / .research.// has been
a physical platform for experimental research, that is to say a
laboratory type situation for the interaction of technological and
physical components.
The experiments reduce the prominence of elements
and concepts from the distinctive contemporary dance and the media
arts fields by combining a camera recognition system, simple media
parameters and clearly recognizable movement structures. The challenge
was to develop strategies of movement according to digital processes
and to develop digital processes in line with the functioning of
the body.
The results of this research process were presented
in May 2000, in diestudios from dietheater in Vienna, Austria.
