The artistic practice of kondition pluriel relies on the hybridization of media, the process of electronic image transformation and the influence digital technologies exert on how the body and space are conceived.
kondition pluriel’s mandate is:
-
to promote the development and research of new artistic
languages by generating performances and installations, which
are founded upon the convergence of several artistic disciplines
to establish new collaborations between artists from dance, electronic arts, sound, video, visual arts and performance
to generate interdisciplinary creations where the use of new technologies - in coexistence with the living body - questions the traditional codes of representation and puts forward a reflection on the phenomenon of perception
to foster dialogue and innovative approaches by participating in international artistic events, debates and symposia
to develop new electronic interfaces based on existing technologies and to integrate several types of soft- and hardware specifically adapted for each project
Over the last four years, kondition pluriel has realized six projects: //. digital ./. perform. / .research.// (1999), schème (2001), entre-deux (2002), schème II (2002), //.présence./.techno./.labo.// (2003) and recombinant (work-in-progress).
